Inspired by Trees

This morning I went with some friends to a local woodland to learn about trees. Georgia, the lady running the session works for the Royal Forestry Society and the session was part of their Teaching Trees programme. We learnt how to identify the different trees and made a giant food web to show how each part of the ecosystem supports the rest. If one animal or plant was removed from the food web then many others would have to adapt or they would not survive in that environment. I really enjoyed being blindfolded and being led to a tree where I had to feel the tree and try to identify it.
